Thanks - I don't think I'd know how to remove the skin of an almond anyway. I'm so glad Shah is feeling better (and you as well).

Cupcake gets a bit of almond skin here and there too... We use organic unsalted sliced almonds with the skin still on.

Thanks for the information re almonds. I will check next time I see my vet. Until then Chuckie will have to content himself with other treats.

We all do it, don't we? It's like with kids, we KNOW we shouldn't feed them sweets, but we love the way their little faces light up when they get some! I genuinely have no knowledge about what nuts are safe for birds. So this was good good for me to read. I hope Shah is ok.

Hmm interesting I hope Shah is feeling better. Casey gets slivered raw almonds sometimes... Hope that is ok. , but her fav is raw pumpkin seeds. The other day we had spaghetti squash, I roasted those seeds in the oven and she loved them too.
