So I just got my 7 week old Quaker today! I named him Yoshi and he's settling in. I don't know if he is a boy or a girl. I'm not new to birds I actually have 2 cockatiels, an IRN, and my husband has a pineapple conure. If anyone has any suggestions/advice on my new baby let me know. I have never had a Quaker before. He is currently in a quarantine cage in my bedroom away from my other birds. This also gives me time to get a bigger cage ordered for him off of Amazon. Any suggestions on which cage to get is welcome I'm looking at the Prevue Hendryx F040 or the F050 but not sure what cage I should get. Here's some pics of Yoshi settling in: and the temp cage:

Yoshi is beautiful! Or handsome, as the case may be.

Welcome to the forum, there are lots of nice cages out there, Casey has a medium HQ cage, I think the cages you are looking at are a similar size.

I have a prevue F040 for Mr P. If I HAD to have one complaint about it, the top entry door is not big enough. I would've liked a bigger "front" door. There is a front door on the bottom part of the cage which helps. Other than that, I love it, but more importantly, Mr P loves it! It's like 4 times bigger than the cage I got with him when I adopted him. I thought there might be issues switching from one cage to another so I put the new cage next to his playstand so he could walk around on it first. He was inside it within about 30 mins and we havent looked back. When I got the F040 and put it together, I was very glad I hadnt gotten the F050. The 40 is plenty big if all you are housing in it is one little quaker I did wind up wire tying all the food doors shut as I have Mr P's dishes positioned that I go through the front door to change out his food and water. They are smart little buggers and will escape through an unsecured door in minutes!
