Well, I don't have access to most of the features on the forum, because my computer keeps blocking me from logging in to Proboards. My antivirus software says something about a certificate, whatever that means. So...I will pin the First Aid Kit thread, as soon as possible.

If you haven't tried changing the Internet security settings in your browser maybe you should try that and look at the settings in your virus protection program. I don't know what antivirus software you have or what it means by a "certificate" but you should be able to chose for it to trust and not block certain things.

I use Avast, and have looked at the settings... I'll fiddle with it some more. Thank you!

The certificates are just something that tells your computer that the site is actually who it says it is. I run into problems going to navy sites all the time. There's usually an option to bypass the block when you get the warning message. Do you get any options at all when you are blocked, Dani?
I'm not familiar with Avast, but there might be somewhere that you can enter Proboards as a trusted site, which should bypass the certificate check. Another option, of course, is to temporarily disable your antivirus.

The strange thing about this is that this website is not using SSL, so I'm not sure why you would be running into certificate issues. Can you provide a bit more detail as to what the message says when you get blocked? Have you tried using a different browser to see if anything different happens? Which browser are you using?

Well, apparently it's only Firefox that has the issue. I'm using Chrome, and signed in with no problem. Thanks, Aaron!!!! Edit: If anyone wants to help troubleshoot ( aaron), here is some more information. The popup says something like "Avast Web Shield has blocked your access to this website because the following certificate is invalid: ssl331875.cloudflaressl.com". I really appreciate all of your help! Thank you!

So it looks like if you go into the settings for Avast, and go to the Avast Web Shield section, and disable HTTPS scanning, this should resolve the problem. Make sure you've updated Avast to the latest version as well. I believe this article is discussing the issue: www.ghacks.net/2014/10/31/avasts-https-scanning-interferes-with-firefox-and-other-programs/But as you will notice, this article is from October of last year, and claims the problem has been fixed in newer versions of Avast. So I would make sure you've got the latest version before disabling any features. Of course you could just use Chrome, which I personally prefer anyhow
