Just wanted to wish everyone on here and their loved ones... a very Happy Easter. Remember... no chocolate treats for the fids. Maybe a little honey since it is a celebration.

lol our celebration consists of burgers on the grill, after being at my daughter's all week and taking care of a newborn and toddler, I am too tired to do anything today! Mr P will eat dinner with us, he loves burgers and baked french fries Happy Easter to all, or Passover, if you are Jewish

Mr P enjoying Easter Dinner with us. He is taking a break from chowing down to tell us "YUM", which he says after every bite. Then, when we laugh, he laughs with us. Eating dinner with him is like comic relief

Happy Easter everyone. Happy Passover too. Sharyn, have you noticed any change in Mr P's behaviour now Pele has gone? I love the photo of him with his very own food dish which just happens to be green

I love that dish, too. And Mr P looks like he went to the Ralph School of Quaker Etiquette. In that photo, anyway.

Mr P likes having his own food dish. He lifts it up and BANGS it on the table to hear the noise when he is done eating. He does, however, check to make sure that what is on our plates is also in his dish. If he finds something on our plate that is NOT in his dish, he will come over to our plate to see what he is missing out on. It's like having a toddler, I make sure that when I know Mr P is going to eat with us (some nites I eat late and Mr P is in bed already) I make only things he can enjoy too.
Mr P pretty much ignored Pele as Pele is a parrot and Mr P thinks he is human. Pele was beneath his notice so no, I really havent noticed a change. At first I thought Mr P actually noticed that Pele was gone and maybe missed him a bit but I was mistaken.
I am supposed to get my new foster, a Goffin, this weekend, so we will see how Mr P responds to that. Of course, the Goffin will be quarrantined for a month and will not interact with Mr P at all, but I am SURE Mr P will hear her! The Goffins' name is Daisy.

What a pretty name for a parrot. I laughed about the banging of the dish. I have bowls that clip on to the cage and every so often Shah rattles them. Sounds like when prisoners rattle their dishes. Once I move, I will be letting Shah eat with me so will now look out for a little green dish for him

Jan, I bought that dish on Amazon, it wasnt a lot of money. I like it because of the way it sits, it doesnt tip when Mr P stands on it and it's made of organic materials so it's safe to accidently ingent if Mr P manages to chip it. It is actually a cat food dish, I believe. Mr P bangs, rattles or taps anything he can get his beak on, it's all about how much noise he can make

I bought four of those dishes per Sharyn's recommendation a while ago, and three of them are tan, and one of them is green like the one Mr P is eating out of. Ironically, Cupcake seems to find the green one a bit scary and has thus far refused to eat out of it. She happily uses the 3 tan ones.

I can see I need to buy a selection of colours in case His Royal Highness takes a dislike to the colour. He has 3 happy huts - 1 green, 1 grey and 1 yellow. He goes absolutely ballistic if I put the yellow one in his cage so I am mindful that the does dislike certain colours.

That's funny, Cupcake and Shah must have attended Ralph's color dislike school, Ralph dislikes orange if I remember correctly. Mr P would NEVER turn down ANYTHING in ANY color that had food in it

Hey Sharyn, sorry to be a pain...can you post the link to the dishes you bought on Amazon, please (I know you did it on another thread, but can I find it? No!)? Bonnie keeps flipping her food trays over, so it would be great to get a few - of course, avoiding red and orange. Although I tend to think that Bonnie would be like Mr P, in that nothing containing food would be rejected.
