Hi all, seeking some advice.
Weve had moon for 3 weeks now, he's 12 weeks old and from day 1 until now, i have watched something new happen each day.
Moon has become alot more active (flying)
His wings were clipped ( Moon was a gift )
For the last 2 days Moon has wanted to be close to us alot more, however still very wary and cautious which is a given. He takes treats from our hands steps up when time for bed and bows head for stritches.
Hes been trying to get our attention alot more by squaking and trilling looking directly at us, flying from pilar to post 1st thing in the morning when let out and then other times during the day i can tell he really wants to land near us but comes so close, almost lands then diverts, and repeats.
If i put my hand out whilst sitting across from him on the sofa, he gets into position to fly to me but flies above me or past my hand instead.
My apporach is to let moon get used to us on his on accord, just wanted to know if theres anything i could do to help him feel more comfortable doing so.
Thanks

It sounds like you're doing things right and it's going well for you and Moon. Probably all that's needed is more time for Moon to feel completely comfortable with you. It can take weeks or even months for a new parrot to feel completely at home and get used to a new flock (that means you ), and you're already off to a good start.
