So my Quaker has had another surgery. This time tumour removal near tail. He was 154 grams the morning of surgery. After surgery he weighed 131 grams. This is exactly the morning after surgery. How did he drop so much weght? The vet could not give me an answer. This has happened after each surgery. It is really puzzling. Eventually he will bring his weight back up and hoover around the 152 gram. Why the sudden weight drop? The tumour could not have weighed 23 grams.

Hope that your QP is recovering well. The one thing I thought of is that one or the other of the weight readings was inaccurate. Other than that, I can't imagine why the difference would be so much. It would seem likely that the vet should have some idea about it.

Maybe he was dehydrated afterwards?
