I've had another of those work weeks, like most of my work weeks, where I put in long hours and don't get enough rest or down time, so by this morning (Thursday) I was pretty much used up, with two more days to slog through. I get up and stagger toward the kitchen to make coffee and see Jack making a beeline for the bathroom. I know what that means and I went in there and sure enough, he'd puked on the floor. He has a favorite spot for that and a delicate digestion and any change in his diet, however tiny, is likely to make him sick. I fed Rocky some of my dinner last night and Rocky dropped a little on the floor and Jack ate it. It was a couple of pieces of pasta, but that was enough.
I cleaned it up BEFORE COFFEE and went back toward the kitchen. Turned on the light so I could see what I was doing to make coffee and what do I see in the hall floor? Somebody'd pooped there. Mind you, we used to find that all the time when George was near the end of his life and was confused and couldn't control his bathroom habits anymore. Jack and Gigi are both very good about letting us know when they have to go out, and even though Gigi is old and arthritic, her overall health is still good and she still has her faculties. So I had to clean that up, too, before coffee. Turns out, when Hubby got up and I told him, that Gigi hadn't gone all day yesterday. It's hard for her to get outdoors and it's hard for her to get around and some days she's reluctant to try, but this is the first time she's done this. I suppose we should be more insistent about making her go outside right before bedtime. Hubby took Jack out then, but Gigi didn't want to go.
