We have a septic tank, too. Not only that, but we have an aerobic system tied to it that sprays the liquid to help water the lawn. When things go awry in our system, you really know it. Blechhh. I try to remember to do the monthly enzyme additive, but my husband is not good at remembering to add the chlorine.
I like Poop-off for cleaning, obviously, the poop. For more general cleaning, vinegar and water is good. For the really tough cleaning or where I want to sterilize, I have a good steam cleaner.

Well, for whatever it's worth, Cupcake seems to have gotten a little more relaxed about where she poops lately ... We've had a few head poops in the recent past, and that has been largely unheard of for at least a year. We use poop-off as well. And a vinegar based general cleaning solution for many other things, although the name is escaping me right now...

I put on a new cardigan today. It was in the bag for 2 days and then popped it on the bed this morning. Shah was nowhere near it and yet, when I put it on, there was a big poop on the right hand side of it and it was definitely one of Shah's. How the heck did that happen?

Not only was there the mystery of the poop but I had a feather on the back of it as well.

I've said this before, but Bonnie sometimes poops on my just-cleaned/dried/ironed clothes, then laughs…cheeky little hussy.

Shame on you Shah. I guess in a way Chuckie manages something similar by pushing his rump between the cage bars and then taking aim and firing out onto the newspaper I lay down around his house. Makes me wonder how they deal with poop in their natural nests.

I will have to try poop off. I have even considered using one of the clothes steamers I found among my mother's belongings to sanitize Chuckie's house. Thanks for advice.

Encouragement seemed to be my best way to get Oscar to poop where I want him to. When he does do it... and it is not in a place that is unacceptable I always comment... "Good Poop". I swear he looks back and smiles... lol
