Does anyone's Quaker have sinus problems that make them sneeze or ever has before? She keeps sneezing and I don't think it is allergies. I think it is a sinus problem. She is acting normal, eating fine, drinking fine. No other symptoms at all. No weird movements, no vomitting or anything. She has nothing else wrong except the sneezing. Can anyone tell me what to do about a sinus problem and how to fix the sinus problem? I have heard of other birds also having the same thing. Has yours? Thanks for some answers..

Peppy has multiple sneezes occasionally, but no chronic sinus problems. I've never heard of Quakers being particularly prone to them. I think all that you can really do is evaluate the environment to see if something is causing the problem. Does her room have enough humidity? Do you use aerosol products anywhere around her? Is there a lot of dust? (With an African grey, I have to be careful with this one. They are very dusty birds, as are cockatoos.)
Sinus problems can be a very serious issue for a bird. They have a most delicate breathing apparatus. Again, I think your best course of action is to take her to an avian vet.

Cupcake sneezes a fair amount, but it almost always correlates with when we have recently done some cleaning or organizing in the vicinity of her cage. To be honest, we aren't the cleanest household-- just very busy people who are always playing catch-up when it comes to chores around the house... so, I think Cupcake puts up with far more dust and funkiness than she should have to.
I start to get concerned when there are multiple wet sneezes, but if they are dry, I usually just write it off as normal. It can be hard to check, but if your bird is wet-sneezing, try to determine if the moisture that comes out is clear or opaque... If it is opaque, you have a problem that needs to be resolved by an avian vet ASAP. If it is clear, there's probably no infection.
We have a mirror perch that cupcake likes to sit on in our bathroom. If I am trying to examine the nature of her sneezing, and she has been sneezing a lot, I will often put her on that perch and just wait with her until she sneezes. Stray drops of liquid will generally be left on the mirror, making it easy to determine if they are clear or not. Luckily, I have never encountered anything but clear discharge.

I put apple cider vinegar in her water to help with allergies if that is what it is. Her sneezes are sometimes dry and soemtimes wet with justy clear water coming out. She has sneezed on my hand before and I look at her beak too to see what color it is. It is clear. I am just waiting for the sneezing to go away, because there is nothing else wrong...I mean there is nothing...She is doing everything normal....eating, drinking, no irregular movements. She is active, breathing fine too. I am just going to wait and see if it goes away. I cleaned everything I can clean. I cleaned everything with vinegar and water. I am just waiting for it to go away.

Apple cider vinegar in the water can't hurt. I'm starting to think about doing that all the time. Cupcake doesn't seem to mind and it just seems to help her stay healthy in general.
