I haven't posted a picture of my foster Goffins, affectionately referred to as Princess Daisy (but really just plain Daisy). This was taken this morning. This is the first time she has ever actually napped on her playstand, normally she goes back into her cage to snooze (she was napping until I woke her by taking the picture). This is a HUGE step forward for us. Now, if I could just get her to step up so I don't have to cart her cage and playstand from the sleeping area to our living area in the mornings, and back to the sleeping area at night. The one night I tried leaving her in the living area after I went to bed I awoke the next morning to a massive plucking episode. She likes to be in the same area of my house at night that Mr P sleeps in.

She's definitely a cute one. I'm glad to hear you are having some success with her! How does Mr P feel about her presence so far?

Mr P shows off for her at night! His cage and hers face each other in my hallway, although I never allow direct contact. Every nite he hangs on the front of his cage so she can see him clearly and shows off for her by flapping his wings and yelling at her to look at him (in Quaker).
And, she does. She is fascinated by him.
This is the first foster I've had that Mr P has shown any interest in at all!

Maybe he's starting to realise that it's NOT all about Him.

Maybe he's starting to realise that it's NOT all about Him. Not likely. He probably is thinking something along the lines of "ohhhh, what a pretty bird she got for me."

How's the princess doing, Sharyn? Any developments in the budding romance with Mr P?

The Princess is doing quite well, thank you for asking. And since you asked.....I can't remember if I posted this video or not...we play this game..."Im an eagle" and I actually got a video of it. What you don't see (thankfully) is me, bouncing up and down, "flapping" my arms and singing I'm an Eagle. Rick was good about getting only Daisy in the vid!
We have just started clicker/target training with her. She is not as food motivated as Pele was and VERY timid, so it's going slowly, but at least she is consistently taking food out of my hand, as long as she sees me take a bite first.
As far as the budding romance goes, no new developments. Mr P hangs on the door of his cage every nite and shows off his handsome wing action for Daisy. She watches him like a hawk but I'm hoping that is because she thinks of him as a flock member, not a chew toy.

Wow, she has you working as Royal Taster. She really is a princess! She is so pretty. I'm glad she is making progress. I'd really like to see a version of the video that includes you hopping and flapping.
