Hi JD...
I'm not sure what companies offer samples in Australia. You could always go to where you currently purchase your food and see what products they sell and if there are contact numbers for the companies. Also, all of the companies listed above have email addresses on their websites (just do a web search on the company name and that should give you the website). You could send them an email and inquire as to whether they provide samples to places other then North America.

Thank you for the info. I bought pellets from Harrison hoping to convert my parrot but she won't touch the pellets and I used all their tips for conversion. A waste of money buying a pound of food that I throw away. Wish I would have had the info and asked for samples first.

Sometime back (two yrs ago) I sent for free samples and was amazed by what Hagen and Lafeber sent. Roudybush also sent me samples as did Harrisons(small sample)

Glad to get this! Gonna call today. Thanks and was wondering what the difference between the brands of pellets is? Is it what most birds prefer or people....such as the ZuPreem I keep hearing about. What is the preferred of most on here? Thanks

My fids ate everything that was sent, Zupreem doesn't give out samples, but that is the one that is readily available around here, so that's what mine get on a regular basis. The rest are very good, as well.

Like Jo said, Zupreem is wonderful food, that's what Casey's on too and it's pretty easy to find.. they don't give samples but will fully refund your money if your bird doesn't like it. Get the cockatiel sized pellets as they're a better size for most Quakers

There's not a lot of difference between the pellets, personally I'd choose Zupreem or maybe Hagen's but sometimes birds are picky and will only eat a certain brand, lol, so you just kind of have to sample and see!

Lafabers offers the BEST samples though, they send enough to feed an entire flock haha.. Casey didn't end up liking anything they sent lol but the birds at work sure appreciated it!

Though Cockatiel size is what most feed their quakers. Mine perfers the same size my cockatoo and congo grey perfers. Sometimes they perfer different sizes. I feed zupreem because it is most available (however I have to drive 140 miles to get it) My vet actually recommended Roudybush but since its so expensive and so much of it was being thrown and waisted I remained with zupreem. Fruit flavored seems to be the favorite of most birds maybe its the good smell (yeah I like the smell) or the taste. I found it was easiest to get my seed junk U2 to switch to the fruit zupreem. But like the others try the samples sent and figure out what your bird likes the best and stick with it

Very true, there's a few on here that like the Grey size I believe.. we buy a small bag of the bigger size to add some excitement to Casey's food, lol, she plays with them and eats a few bites of each one, but the majority are fed to the dogs  She also gets some of the canary size since that's what our Budgie likes, she'll eat them too.

Thanks. Like I indicated on another post....I have tried all sizes to parakeet to biggins! lol Even tried to make "dust" which cannot be done. Put in zippie and banged them....again, thinking that she (Kiwi) would benefit from something !!! Will keep trying. Always ALWAYS offer it...every day. Will try zupreem...I have seen it. Pretty soon I will be out of the generic one my supply place sells.
