Hello All,
My name is Michaelle. I have posted about my injured Muzzy, recently! She's doing well, BTW
I live in Battle Creek, MI
I'm happy I found this site considering the last few days! You all that have replied with your kindness is amazing!
I would like to let you all know a little background info on me.
I turned 50 in March. I had 6 children, 2 sons I laid to rest in '82 and '03. My living children consist of my daughter Beth 29, with my 4 grandchildren, (and the puppy who, didn't know any better, attacked my birdie) My daughter, Jaileigh, 21 and my son, Jack 17 and Brooke 17...(Muzzy's "idol" who left the cage open)
I AM NOT placing blame!!!
I am a Christian!
I prayed over my Muzzy the night of her accident!
I slept with her! (PLEASE do NOT do this with your birdies!)
I feel awful about what happened to my Muzzy!!! But I am thankful, by the grace of God, I didn't lose her! Muzzy is four years old!
I purchased her as a baby in 2010! I like seashells, a LOT so I named "it" Muzselka, which, is Polish for seashell! LOL For the longest time I thought she was a he! I didn't do DNA because I heard females lay eggs in the 2nd year! Well, I still referred to her as a "he" and lo and behold... who starts laying eggs at 3? Yup, my Muzzy!!! Even Brooke, was like..."why is he so mean?" (she secretly wanted her to be a male) haha Then we figured out what was behind the whole "meaness" thing!!! Temperamental "B"ird!!! Just like one of us!!! *giggles*
Oh, another thing that made me think she was a he... humping her perch!!! I thought straight up male!!!!!!
So, in short... let us not judge!!! LOL
I also have an 18 month old female boxer, Sadie, who has been very sympathetic towards Muzzy! Sadie was being so bad when I would go to work and left them alone, to the point she tipped Muzzy's cage over 2 weeks ago!!! I was wanting to find her a family that could have at least someone there 24/7 but since this happened to Muzzy, she's been being a peach!!! In, short... I love my 2 girls!!!
Thank you ALL, again for letting me be a tad bit lengthy!
