Today is mother's day in Australia. As my mother is no longer with us and I don't have children, I decided to spend part of the day with Izzie. It is also Emma's (my Pomeranian) 8th birthday so she came with me. I had cooked a whole chicken to share with the dogs at Horse Rescue (where Izzie is agisted). Things started off well enough. Felt in reasonable health so started cleaning up Izzie's paddock. Emma was hanging around. Next thing I know, she is dashing across the road (she has no road sense) and into someone's property. I had to run out of the paddock, down the long drive way and then across the road and down to the property. Fortunately, the guy was driving out of his driveway when Emma ran down it, so he picked her up and waited for someone to come (she does have a collar with her name and phone number on it). So she went into the dog yard for the rest of the visit. Then I got Izzie out and she decided to muck around as the wind was quite strong and she didn't like it. I decided to just spend time with her in the paddock as I could see my situation was becoming dangerous with her rear end dancing around. As I am completely out of shape due to months of illness, my back, knees and legs are in pain due to the running. And to boot, Shah decided to have a series of temper tantrums - not sure what about - but I was in serious trouble by his reckoning. I will be glad to go to bed tonight

Just when you think you can stop to smell the roses all your 'kids & fids' gang up on you! Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Rough one. Don't you hate it when you get up on the right side of the bed, full of cheer and good will, only to be beaten down and trod upon. Some days are like that. I hope today is a better one for you.

Easttex, you couldnt have given me a better description. That's exactly how it felt. Had a great sleep last night but my back and legs are very stiff and sore. I am walking like Frankenstein's monster

And, while I would like to forget, Emma did a pee right in front of the step to my TV room so I would step in it. When she does it there it means that she is very displeased with me. Between her and Shah I am constantly in trouble.

Emma's revenge hasnt finished yet. She left a poo in the doorway for me this morning. I put her in the rumpus room around 5.30am for her to have her breakfast and to go outside (my TV room is off the rumpus room). There was no reason for her to poo inside except to show me that she isnt pleased with me.

Mark my words, soon you'll start talking to yourself (I do). Perhaps you could say things like "Naughty girl, Jan". If you get in first, maybe your animals won't feel the need to chastise you for your constant 'unacceptable' behaviour - even if you don't know what that is...

So I decide to go to gym last night. I rush in, give Shah and the cockatiels their peas and corn and say hello to the dog. I leave the lights on. I leave at 5.20pm and return at 7pm. Sure enough, the dog went into the television room and peed on the carpet and then did a big poo in the doorway to let me know that it wasnt acceptable. I feel the animals have taken over.

Holy dooley. Obviously they have. You are in big trouble. I wish I could be more reassuring...it puts me in mind of that scary 70's movie "Day of the Animals".

Didn't see it Biteybird. I didn't pick her up tonight as I was a bit busy so she did a pee right in front of me. I chased her outside and have closed the door so she cant get back into my room. Will leave it closed for about half an hour and then let her back in. She knows exactly what she is doing - she is such a cheeky girl. Damn animals - even Shah had a few bites tonight.

I'm not sure it's entirely appropriate to "like" these tales of misbehavior, but they are pretty funny. As long as it's at your house and not mine.
