I hope it is reversible. I think in at least some cases when it is caused by a deficiency it is, and I will hope for the best. But like Jan says, he can still have great quality of life even if it isn't. One of the wonderful qualities of birds - they seem to just accept and adapt. I will be anxious to read the outcome tomorrow.  |

The vet did not see any sign of disease, and does not think it's a vitamin deficiency. She thinks he has a neurologic problem that he was born with, or that was the result of flying into a wall. I felt horrible when she said that, but she was quick to assure me that I shouldn't feel bad because she couldn't have done anything to prevent it/help him even if I had brought him in.

No, not definitely. She said it's hard to do eye exams on birds because they're so small.
But it would explain A LOT.

So how are you going to proceed from here? Treat him like he is blind (probably not a bad idea)? Poor little mite. But animals overcome things that we humans find difficult.
