How exciting!!
I’m looking forward to hanging the flowers around his cage when they arrive tomorrow. And I have a perch cut from a Lauders Walking Stick that I’m going to add to his cage.
I just realized that Willows highest perch, where he spends most of his time, is still the 1” wood dowel perch. His feet LOOK fine and I see them a lot because he sucks his toes. So I’m not certain I want to mess with it because he’s an anxious bird. He is still not willing to go in the jolly ball and my, that was a pain to find. Maybe he’ll use it if I hang it up.
The big box of toys will arrive tomorrow via fed ex. I ordered so many fun things! I hope they have a good time.Jasper has devoured her biggest toy and it’s looking s but bare, so I want to take her toys out and fancy them up.
I wonder if she would like a hanging toybox. I gave her a little cardboard box to chew but it got thrown on the floor and now it’s ignored. Maybe I should punch it with a pencil and hang ut up somewhere?
They were SO LOUD THIS MORNING. I had to get up at 7 and was falling asleep with Willow on my lap. I am happy that they’re being louder but it would be best if they waited until eight am. I have a crabby neighbor but luckily she likes birds.

It sounds like the parrots will have lots of new things to keep them busy and amused.
Try hanging Jasper's toy box and I imagine that she will let you know how she feels about it. If she disapproves, take it out.
Dowel perches aren't the best, of course, but they can be improved a little by roughing them up. You can use coarse sandpaper or a file to give them a little texture, or randomly score them with a knife. That makes them a little better for parrot feet than a hard, smooth surface. I've done that with a dowel perch in the small transport cage.
