"Bird brain" should be considered a compliment

This morning I said to Ralph that he was about due for a bath. I told him to let me know if he was ready for a bath today. At around 3:30 this afternoon, Ralph rattled his water dish, his usual way of telling me that it's bath time and he wants to be misted. I imagine that other parrot people wouldn't think I was crazy if I said that I believe that Ralph understood what I said to him earlier in the day. The term "bird brain" is usually meant as an insult but it really ought to be considered a compliment.
