Willow is getting comfortable handling some more toys. He now picks the previously new toy from his dish, beaks it, and tosses it when he’s done. That’s an improvement!! Maybe I should put some jingle balls in his food dish next. Or his sticks.
It’s almost 7 pm and Willow is almost ready to go to sleep. He’s getting a nice jaw rub while we watch a video. Actually, I think beaky boy needs to go good night.
Willow was carried back to his house and became very excited, making happy kissing noises. He’s tucked away on his favorite top perch, getting ready to sleep.

Willow didn’t get cuddles yesterday, because he crashed early (it was dark early).he was grumpy today when I came to get him for afternoon cuddles.
I carried him with me to the mailroom to get my mail and package. He was opening his beak at anyone anywhere near me. Which scared some young woman who didn’t know him. I’ve never seen him that worked up and that needs to not be happening. He can’t open his beak at the other person in the elevator—she looked worried and I apologized and said, “he’s not going anywhere, you don’t have to worry.”
Hmm. I think I will make sure Willow is relaxed before we go anywhere. Grumpy bird.
