Oh, that looks kind of like a backpack with windows...? Can Cupcake see out of it OK? Very interesting!

I got a playstand for him, and he seems to be scared of it. It doesn't fit tightly in all areas, so it wobbles a little. I like the backpack carrier, but it is a little pricy. I think I will go with the second cage option. I like it that it is large enough for a sleeping cage also, and he can see out if I take him outside when I am working in the garden and yard.

he can see out if I take him outside when I am working in the garden and yard. I like it for that reason, too. A little direct sunlight is very good for their feathers and general health overall. Just be prepared to put a little muscle into carting it around.

Oh, that looks kind of like a backpack with windows...? Can Cupcake see out of it OK? Very interesting! Yeah, it's a backpack with windows that has a perch and two food bowls in it and a couple places to put some small toys. She can see out of it pretty well. If we had any complaints with it, it would be how hard it is to see into it, but it's because it has a special super-fine steel mesh on the windows that is bird proof. The last carrier we had, she completely destroyed. It was a much cheaper carrier though. This one is very comfortable to carry around too and is quite lightweight. Cupcake is known all over the area we live in because we take her out to dinner in this thing when the weather is warm. I also take her to my step-daughter's soccer games in it and all the little girls fawn over her. I know she wishes she was outside of the carrier though. I think she finds it a bit frustrating. And last summer I made the mistake of positioning her under a tree at a soccer game a few times and that really freaked her out... It took me a while to figure out what was bothering her about it, but I came to the conclusion that prey animals probably don't like being stuck on the ground below trees. Now she really would prefer to never go in the carrier again, it seems, so I have my work cut out for me in the summer. But I agree, the sun is a good thing, so we take her outside on the back porch in the summer in what will eventually be her sleep cage.
