Hey all! I was wondering if it was OK for Reptar to snack on aloe Vera plants? I've got one that I've had for a while that has no fertilizers or anything else in it. Thanks!

That is a good question on the aloe vera plant. I did a little research, and the near-consensus seems to be that it is good. The only caution I found was that some older, larger leaves contain a yellow sap that some individual birds find mildly irritating to their stomachs. I also had to research Reptar. Those of us without small children in our lives are at a cultural disadvantage sometimes. That is a great name!

Reptar really is a great name. So appropriate for these little green dragonbirds. I have an aloe plant as well and I've never thought about giving any to Cupcake... I wonder if she would like that. I think ours might have some fertilizer in the soil so perhaps that isn't a great idea.
