Mango (My Quaker) has always had a wheezing problem it doesn't seem to bother him but should i be concerned? Please help if you can. Thank You in advance. Teresa

Hi Teresa, sorry, I don't have any experience with this, but if it were me I'd get to the vet pronto. The vet may be able to tell you if it's a problem or just something that is 'normal' for Mango. Others may have better advice. Hope Mango and you work it out.

I think biteybird gave you the best advice, to see a vet. It could be due to many things, including a respiratory infection, obesity, mites in the air sacs, allergies. Lots of other possibilities, and it might be nothing at all to worry about. But because their air sac system is much more sensitive than our own lungs, it's best to have it evaluated. An avian vet can tell if he is having difficulty breathing.
