I just found My 4 1/2 month old Quaker's feather and it is one of his tail feathers. I'm freaking out a little because I'm not sure if he should be losing these?! is this normal? he was inside his cage resting in his tent. I walked away for a few min and found it near his cage on the ground. I know they lose feathers but this one is a tail feather so I'm worried.

Parrots molt tailfeathers just the same as any other feathers. Also, QPs have long tails which are vulnerable to getting bumped or damaged in some way that may cause a feather to fall out. Unless it's a broken blood feather, there's nothing to be concerned about.
