Hi, I am new here and have been trying to find names for my Quaker who will be coming home soon. He/She is green  I am having a really hard time finding a name.
I do great naming dogs, but this will be my first bird and I am clueless in the bird-naming dept. I will know soon if it is male or female.

I've always been spared from thinking up names. The two parrots I have now, and the one I had before, all had names that they knew before I got them. I offered to change the name of my adopted Grey Scooter, but she insisted on sticking with her original name. There are lots of possibilities for a name for your parrot. Many parrots like my QP Ralph have a "human" name. Some have names associated with the color green, like Kiwi or Jade. Some parronts like to name their parrots for a favorite character from a movie, book or video game, or a favorite actor or musician. And some people look for something more exotic to name their birds. Maybe you could pick out a few names that you like and try them out on your QP. Parrots have a way of rejecting names they don't like or accepting ones they do.

I'm on a group on Instagram and one of the members is called 'My Ripe Avocado'. "Avo" would be kind of cute.  |
