I raise Gouldian, and zebra finches, but only hours ago was offered a Quaker for free. My son's girl friend is a vet tech and the apparently this little guy was going to be put down. I dont know much about the circumstances yet but was told he was a plucker and I tend to agree based off of the single picture I saw. Breast bare right down to the skin. probably will end up calling him Frank (lead roll Shameless). Wish me luck in his rehabilitation; my hope is that he bored and had little interaction with the owners.

G'day, Grant & Frank! That's nice of you, saving him from certain death. I started with zebra finches too. My neighbour couldn't keep his anymore, so we built an aviary from scratch, concreted the floor, etc. The population went from 20 to 70+ in 5 months...:0 Hope you go well with your little friend and please ask questions as you wish. Don't give Frank avocado - it is toxic. Cheers.
