Rocky the Horror is going through spring insanity AND he's molting, and he's insufferable. He screams constantly. He chomped me badly TWICE in less time than it takes to type the words last night. He actually RAN across the room to do so. You should see my arm.
On top of that, Ringo Starling, who is my least problematic bird in every possible way, had a night fright last night and I had to go and comfort her and turn an extra night light on for her at 4 this morning. She has recently decided she won't sleep in her cage, even with its door open (Clyde, Jade and Benjy all sleep in cages with the doors open; Freddie sleeps on a curtain rod in that room; Ringo has her own room). So when Hubby got up in the night for a bathroom break, he startled her and she freaked out in a dark room with one small nightlight and he came and woke me up because he didn't know what to do. She's okay. I got her settled down and this morning when I was getting ready for work she was perfectly fine and normal as ever. She even sang along with my Bay City Rollers CD.

Thank their lucky stars they have you, Siobhan! (including your husband)... OMG, everyone in your household is spoilt rotten except for you. You know what they say - "familiarity breeds contempt"...from the birds at least. :0 Maybe you should forgo Bay City Rollers for some nice cello music to bring your birds' circadian rhythms to their optimum levels!

I don't have any cello music. LOL I could switch to CCR -- Rocky has discovered a real affinity for them. Our band is learning a CCR song and Hubby has been playing the recording a lot to try to work out the lead guitar part and Rocky's now a BIG fan. He also likes the Bee Gees.
