How I wish you were here to walk Bonnie, Julianna. She's still in the young lab phase, and she has unbelievable strength to complement her enthusiasm. Last week I took her to the vet for a routine appointment, and I'm afraid I let my guard down for a split second. That was all it took for her to knock me on my keister in the parking lot. I skinned my elbows (through long sleeves and a jacket), hit my tailbone, and cracked my head on the asphalt. I also have a nice big bruise on one keister-cheek. That's the third time she has toppled me, so you'd think I'd learn.

I digress...but it seems all the Bonnies we know are very feisty(!).

Ouch Easttex....That sounds pretty painful. I have been yanked by Pickles before where he has brought me to my hands and knees in the rocks and gravel... and that was smarts too.
So far the training with Bailey is going very well. She understands "come" because now she gets a treat but she still pulls quite a bit. I keep trying the "stop" and wait for her to settle... but no luck yet. I won't give up. I am going to try a few more things like the "change in direction" but when I do that she just runs harder from one side to the other... lol. She is sooooo playful. Just loves the deep snow and charges through it. She likes to bury her head and search for mice. I swear she almost had one the other day but I thought... omg.. what if she actually gets it... lol. Then what??
Today was too cold. Flippin wind was at least 40 KM and the temperature was -23C. I took one day off.

-23C? Seriously? That would kill me...I'm cold if it gets down to 20C.

Ha ha ha... biteybird. That is not even the worst cold to come here yet. It is not uncommon for us to have -40C and then a wind chill on top of that. My wardrobe is half wool... ha ha
