I put a deposit down on this little one. Just gotta wait a few weeks for it to be weaned! It's being DNA tested to determine sex, looking forward to those results so I can start figuring out a name.

That's the cutest thing ever, congratulations! I'm assuming it's a Sun Conure as you were discussing?

Congratulations on your new little one. Sunnies are so colorful, and usually have lots of personality too.

The day has arrived, and my new baby is home! I'm very surprised at how comfortable he is being handled, and even wants to be with me already. I fully expected having to stick train him as I did Yoshi, but he has no fear of hands and wants to be held. Again, I'm still refering to it as "he", but still not sure. I've got a vet appointment + dna test scheduled for Friday. One thing I am a little worried about is he has a bald spot on the top of his head. To me the skin looks raw, but I don't know what I'm looking at.

Finally heard back from the breeder about the bald spot (I didn't notice how bad it was when I picked the bird up, I should have been paying closer attention). He said he noticed it had dried fruit stuck to it's feathers, and some came out when he tried to remove the fruit.

Welcome to your colorful new baby! I'm guessing that you still haven't settled on a name. That spot on his head does look a little raw. If you take him for the recommended new-bird vet checkup, the vet will undoubtedly examine it and decide if any action needs to be taken to assure that the spot heals properly and causes no discomfort.

Yeah, still no name, getting a DNA test done on Friday at the vet appt. Not sure how long that will take to get results back, but hopefully not too long!

The vet visit went good. She said the little one looks really good and is strong! It's poop isn't looking too normal, but she thinks it's just due to stress, so I'm keeping an eye on that.
Will take about a week to find out the results of the DNA test.
