My tank has several plastic plants and two caves for babies to hide in, and the babies I still have clearly survived the parents' propensity to eat them. I think one of the bigger baby girls is actually full grown and possibly pregnant, so we might have more babies soon, if I'm right.

On the subject of "I think everyone here loves all living creatures"...
I was talking with a group of friends outside of the auction house this afternoon, and one of them had her daughter in tow. The little girl was sitting on the ground and the woman next to me said "There's a bee right behind you, be careful." And then proceeded to step on it.
It made me sad. :-(

Ugh. I hate it when people do stuff like that. Very sad

I hate that, too. So thoughtless.

I have about 12 (they're hard to count, they zoom around) babies left and they all seem to be female, so I finally went and got a new male yesterday. The babies all zoomed right over to say hello and just about scared him to pieces. LOL But he's adjusted and is swimming around like one of the gang now. Last night at supper time, he didn't notice it was time to eat and the others had to tell him -- they're all used to the routine, of course -- but by this morning, when I gave them breakfast, he was all over it. A quick study. The babies are various ages and sizes, but a couple of them are full grown, or close to it, and I hope they'll make pretty babies with Blue Boy, if he does his duty. LOL
