I think I'm going to give up the words, "He's a baby. We don't have to worry about that." Ducky seems like an early bloomer. He has gotten out of his cage two days in a row while I was at work. Seems he has figured out how the outside doors for his food dishes work and gets them open. He also tries to bite when the caregiver relatches them after putting him back. Not when he's put back, mind you. Just when she secures the door again. So it is off to find something to hook the food dish doors closed but is quaker safe. Ideas are welcome.

Quakers are notorious escape artists, and are also usually very good at taking things apart. Not sure exactly how the access doors on Ducky's cage are set up, so I don't know what to suggest. Some people have had luck using carabiners to latch cage doors. Ralph hasn't been able to open the access doors by his dishes, but he has taken them apart a few times, by removing the nuts and bolts that hold the doors in place.

You could try the metal links that are used to hang toys. I know I've accumulated a lot of them over the years, but they're easy to find and buy separately.

If those don't work I remember someone saying that they used those large metal paper clips. Ducky sure is smart. When he wants out... he wants out... it is kinda cute.
