I had mentioned that I raised love birds before and would post some pictures of them. Well... Here they are. In this batch there were 4 babies (you can tell by the black noses) and their parents. They were a lot of fun but extremely noisy. Quakers are noisy too but these ones would never be quiet. The parents names were Pretty and Peaches.
From birth to flying.

So sweet, I had budgies back in the day, I just loved watching the chicks grow! I currently have shaft tailed finches on eggs, I am anxiously waiting the two weeks, to see if they hatch.

They're gorgeous! I like the way they are all lined up on the edge of the light casing. In your 5th photo I notice that one of the parents has been squished down into the bottom of the container and sat on by the others.

Oh yes... there was a lot of squishing in those days before I added on to the cage and built them a proper house to make a nest in. They were really fun to have around to watch them gather long strips of paper... stick it under their feathers and fly back to the cage to add to their nest. Of course half of the paper ended up all over the house...lol
If my memory sets me right (getting old you know)... I had these birds for about 5 years and they hatched 45 babies.

So amazing how quickly they go from little bald helpless things to fully grown. I'll have to post a picture of the lovebird I had. He was my first, and quite a little love.
