Sounds like he is happy and getting enough fresh stuff to make up for lack of pellets. I wouldn't worry too much if he's a healthy weight (which it sounds like he is - our Bonnie was 89grams when we got her as a baby and she has only put on about 10-15 grams since then, now 5 years old). I think he's fine. Well done.

Thanks for the input. He is a happy little guy and I want him to have a comfortable life. My Wife and I were cracking up because we give him three sunflower seeds a night and he eats them as if he has not eaten in weeks. I don't want to give him too many seeds because he can get fat. Don't want him looking like that red angry bird.

Haha, they are little gobble gutz as far as sunflower seeds are concerned. Bonnie LOVES pumpkin seeds, capsicum (pepper) seeds and sunflower seeds - to watch her you would think she is starving...No! She's just a greedy little chicken.
