I bought a little swing for Yoshi tonight from the pet store. I was curious if anyone here had any success with their Quaker learning to swing from one. After thinking about it, and doing a few searches, I can't seem to find much of anything on Quaker's making use of swings!
By the time I got home tonight Yoshi was already in his tent ready for bed, so I'll have to wait till tomorrow to introduce him to it.

Bonnie ignored every swing I put in her cage, but she does like the huge flexible coil ('boing') rope thing that I hung in there. She sits on that and likes balancing on it as it moves.

Shah refuses to get on a swing. Like Bonnie, he loves his boing. Pippin the cockatiel loves his swing

My grey loves swings, especially the big one that has pipe bells on it. She can really make a racket bashing it into the cage bars. Peppy ignores his. He is not very sure-footed to begin with, and that may have something to do with it.

I have never seen Bishop set foot on a swing. If one was put in his cage he ignored it. Like others said though he really likes the boing which does swing, twist, and bounce around.

I too have never tried a swing, Casey used to love her boing, but last Father's Day she decided to eat the strings on it, they got stuck in her crop I guess and she threw them up everywhere, no more rope things for her. It will be interesting to see if Yoshi likes his swing this morning.

I have seen Oscar a few times on his swing. He does a good job on it too... back and forth.. then holding on to the top and making it spin. Mind you it isn't often... but he has played on it.

Well, I introduced it to him today, and sit him up on it. He wasn't thrilled about it, but wasn't scared, so hopefully he will come around!
I'm just trying to find toys and things that he enjoys. Most of the toys I've bought him he doesn't mess with too much. There was one he loved that had a bunch of little rubber strings coming out of it. He made short work of the strings, and of course now that it has none, he doesn't even look at the toy lol.

Will see soon what he thinks of that!

I had just picked a new boing less than a week before from parrotdise perch. I saw a few strings on the ground and was thinking I should take it out but I never realized she was eating them. She had been quieter than usual for a couple of days but I had been busy getting ready for the party. I was back and forth sending pictures to my bird expert friend when I found the mess, as it was a Sunday and the avian vet was closed. She ran over to check her out. Quite the stressful day. Now she only gets leather and wood toys in her cage, just to be safe. The wood pieces just end up on the ground.

Zim... Oscar's favorite toy (right now) is a pen. Just make sure the ball point isn't exposed. Also he loves to chew on the Kleenex box. It is the cheap simple things that entertain him the most. I could send you my box of toys that Oscar ignores... lol

I've seen Cupcake use a swing here and there, and she's rather adept at it, but she does not seem to care for them nonetheless. Not something she goes for on a regular basis.
