Apple Cinnamon Treats
1/2 cup of buckwheat flour 1 medium sized apple cut up and puréed 3 tablespoons of water 1 tablespoon of quinoa 1 tablespoon of flaxseed 1 tablespoon of oats
Mix ingredients. Roll dough into appropriately sized balls for your bird to hold. Slow bake on low heat at 200 degrees Fahrenheit until slightly hardened throughout. Took around 90 minutes.
I have been keeping the temperatures low so that the center will not be soft while just the outside is harder. This way making him have to work more to eat the treat.

Of course my oven just got replaced by maintenance here in my apartment building, and we've found that when we turn it on it starts putting out fumes, so for the time being I can't use it until I can get Cupcake out of the house for a while so I can burn off whatever it is that smells.... but I definitely want to try this one. We need more healthy treats for Cupcake.

Thanks Will - I'm like Aaron in that I haven't got to trying it, but it's great to have it here to refer to when I'm ready to try baking birdie treats!
