Just want to let everyone know that I will not be active here for the next couple of weeks. We're going to New South Wales camping tomorrow (Saturday) and might not have phone or internet coverage. We're taking the blue chicken with us, of course.

Hi all, we're back now & I'm catching up on my Forum reading! Jan - I didn't see your post in time prior to losing phone & internet reception, but we were camping in 'Yadboro Flat Camping Area' in the Yadboro State Forest, New South Wales. I think the nearest town was Milton, then Ulladulla, which I think is quite a way from Sydney (but thanks for the invitation!). Bonnie behaved exceptionally well while we were away. I think she liked being able to keep tabs on us at all times. Of course, after getting home, her behavior was absolutely diabolical for about a day... I'll post some photos when my brain is up to it. Nice to be back!

Very glad to hear that Bonnie's behavior was so good during the trip! That's really great! Not so great about the diabolical return, but I guess that's not a huge surprise.
Cupcake has been getting progressively weirder as we have these days snowed in. She's started absolutely refusing to go to bed. And she has been acting grumpier and grumpier. I'm not sure what she wants exactly. She does seem ever so slightly better this morning.

Uh oh, looks like that secret Quaker network is operational again.

I must say that Shah is starting to rival the Gentleman Quaker. His manner are almost perfect - no biting - no screaming. Just one little happy chappie. Welcome back Biteybird. I missed your posts. Did you get that appalling weather last week? Camping in such weather would not have been fun. I am glad Bonnie behaved herself - they usually do in public. Obviously she didn't want to return home.

Interesting. Today she was a bit better... Because we've all been home for several days my stepdaughter has been staying up later than usual and consequently Cupcake has been going to bed first, which she historically hates, but over the past few months has gotten a lot better at tolerating. However, the past few days, she seems to have decided that it is unacceptable again. Tonight we staged a storytime and pretended to put my stepdaughter to bed and had her wait in her room, and then put Cupcake to bed, and she went willingly, of course. Silly chicken.
