I recently heard an interesting feature on the classical music radio program Performance Today about composer Bruce Adolphe and his Panama Amazon named Polly Rhythm. Polly is quite a singer, and also critiques Adolphe's new compositions. Here is a link to the radio feature, which runs about 6 minutes: Bruce Adolphe and Polly Rhythm on Performance Today

What a great clip! She is really in tune with him, isn't she? Barbara Heidenreich has posted YouTube videos of her Amazon singing. He does that whole vibrato thing, too. Fun to watch and listen to. Edit: it's not opera, but I thought you might enjoy this, Gary.

Amazons seem to have a natural talent for singing. George used to sound a lot like Polly Rhythm, and would invent his own operatic arias using words he knew-- "bird, bird, pretty birrrrrdddd... "
