I think I mentioned this elsewhere- I buy Harrison's High Potency Diet, and grind it to a size Chuckie will eat. I also grind a few of their power treats to through into the mix; they have Palm Fruit oil supplement in them so I don't have to buy that separately. Chuckie goes through phases of relishing the food and then not eating so much. I supplement with just about anything else you can imagine, he has a mania for organic Quinoa cereal flakes and likes a nibble of yogurt once in a while. I do not give him a lot of dairy since QPs lack the enzymes to break down lactose. In terms of why Harrison's does not support local retailing: their pellet diet needs to be refrigerated or kept in a freezer after the bags are opened, so they will not certify any sold at a store as being OK for a bird to eat. I am glad you have figured out a way to bribe Bishop. Gives me an idea to try on Chuckie so he will eat more of the Harrison's.
