Have you looked on petfinder.com? Also, if you have a wildlife rehabber in your area, you might check with them. A friend who specializes in birds occasionally gets calls from people wanting to rehome their pet birds. This site gives links to permitted rehabbers by state: www.owra.org/find-a-wildlife-rehabilitator.

The thing I would be concerned about are the other two ingredients - "...ose" means sugar, and you can't tell the amount. Some people do share brewed, watery herbal teas with their parrots, chamomile in particular, in small amounts.

After a general cleaning, wipe it with a 10:1 water/bleach solution, and rinse it well. That will sterilize it. As long as there is plenty of time to dry and air it, there's no harm to the bird. I use vinegar and water for general cage cleaning, along with Poop Off, but sterilize cages between birds.

Be very careful with the black ones. They're still actively forming and have a blood supply. Not only are they very tender, but it is dangerous to break one open. It can be difficult to stop the blood flow and birds can't afford to lose much.

I don't know how to convert to Celsius I do it this way: Fahrenheit to Celsius converter which says that 12 F is -11 C. Some of our birds seem to be getting their seasons mixed up, regardless of the outdoor weather (it's frigid here too). Ralph has been getting friendly with his rope perch more often the last few days. I'm hoping it's a sign of an early spring, but that's pretty doubtful. Well, the days are getting longer.🤔

I thought it was NYE here all day, until I looked at a calendar this afternoon. Not that it matters too much- I'll still be going to bed ridiculously early.

I'm sorry he's still ailing! My Peppy had liver problems, and eventually died from them. When they get ill like this, the most important thing is to keep them eating, and if he'll only eat one thing, so be it. I wouldn't worry about him just eating formula. It may not be the absolute best thing for an adult bird, but it's better than most. And probably quite a bit better for him than his seed mix. I would ask his vet what you might be able to pulverize or liquefy and add to the formula if you want to experiment. Good luck!

Do you have a healthy baseline weight on him? It's a really good idea to weigh them weekly or so, so you get an idea of what's happening with them. One way to tell a bird is overweight for its size is to feel around the keel bone for excessive fat, but if you haven't felt around there before, it won't tell you much.
In your shoes, I would at least call your vet for an opinion.

I miss your posts when you're "off" the forum, Julianna. They're always so positive and helpful. Just promise to come back when you can. I hope your run of awful is over now.
