Hi, Just wondering if anyone has had, what the vet told me was very common, metal poisoning. She could only suggest that it was probably a chrome bell so I have removed every bit of metal from his cage. I have also bought a new powdercoated cage which is supposed to be the best if you can't afford the stainless steel. I just wonder why most bird toys have metal when it is so poisonous. I picked him up today after three days in hospital and had the vet give me the biggest lecture on feeding and care. Only ever give water, seed is bad and fatty and not the right vegetables. When reading this forum, it sounds like some people give their quaker exactly the same as I do. Can anyone give me their experience or after care regime as I want him to recover asap and be back to his normal quaker self?

Hi there, I have no experience in this, unfortunately...but I just want to say "welcome" and I am sure that some of the other members with more experience than I with this sort of thing will answer when they see your post. Please keep us informed as to how your birdie is doing.
