I lost my dear Quaker Kiwi today,&I'm devastated;she was so much a part of my life..I got her in Sept.2002 from an older man who said he was too old to take care of her,&he was her original owner(he bought her from a breeder in 1993;she was hatched in July 1993)I've had her for almost 16.5yrs.&she had a stroke last Fri.evening..I took her to the hospital Sat.morning where she was in intensive care until this morning(Thur.)when I had to 'put her to sleep'...the Hardest decision I've ever made, but She was so sick,&her avian Dr.had tried everything to save her.My heart is broken,I loved her more than anything in this world,&now she's gone..my house feels so empty &quiet without her.I will Never forget her Love, her Loyalty,or her companionship..I will Always miss her.

So sorry that you lost Kiwi. She had a good home and good life with you. Kiwi will always be with you, in your heart and in your thoughts.
