A rare shot of a wild "Shoulder Chicken" caught in mid-yawn.

Congrats on catching it on camera...Bonnie yawns quite a bit but I can never seem to capture it. Cupcake looks adorable - she's a beautiful 5-y-o!

Thanks all! It was my wife who caught it on camera actually, that's her shoulder. I love those little yawns

I love the yawns too. Oscar gave me three of them this morning. Cupcake is a sweetie. Look how her little eyes partly close. awwww

Thanks Julianna... Cupcake has the sweetest eyes. I don't know if all Quakers do this or not, but we can tell when Cupcake is really happy because she gets this almond shaped eye and she starts blinking slowly while grinding her beak. I need to upload a video of this sometime.

I just noticed she's standing on one foot, too...a dead giveaway that she's quite comfortable!

Yes, a one footed chicken is a comfy chicken for sure! She was in her closest-to-napping mode when this was taken, although we still have never seen her actually sleep. Haha
